Metformin and diarrhea

Sorry to be gross, but sh*t happens I guess. My husband has daily diarrhea, sometimes explos1ve, and claims it's just part of being on metformin. Is this normal?? It's to the point he quits taking it when we go on vacation or anytime he knows we won't be home for an extended period and that does make things more controllable for him. This can't be normal?!?

Replaced windshield twice and still has a very loud whistle

Hi All! I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee. Had Safelite mobile come replace a cracked windshield and afterward noticed a new very loud whistle/vibration type noise. Occurs mostly at high speed (over 70 mph) but sometimes also at lower speeds. Doesn't do it all the time, even at high speed. It's very loud. I called Safelite and they sent a different tech out, who did a second replacement. It's difficult to make the sound occur when the tech is there, as it's random and most often on the highway, which isn't close to my house.

Anyway, after the second replacement didn't change anything, I just let it go and decided to worry about it later. My husband's Mom had just passed, and we had alot of other stuff on our plate. So warranty is likely out of the question.

What steps would you advise that I could do myself to try to identify or alleviate the problem? The second tech said he thought the wipers had been reinstalled too high. After several attempts to adjust and test drive, I finally just removed them both completely and drove it for a couple of days. It's not the wipers. So, what's my next step? I noticed the cowl doesn't sit tight against the windshield. Could that do it? It's very hard to determine where the sound is coming from, so that doesn't really help pinpoint an area. It sounds to me like it's coming from the top center of the windshield, but other people say the bottom.
