Never seen Brave do this before...

Been using Brave for a couple years, never had an issue. My OS is Mint 22.3 but I dont see that being an issue (opened YT in a different browser and it works fine) because Brave was working fine up until an hour or so ago. Haven't changed anything on my end.

When you hit play in YT you get the "glow" of the video and the audio but no video. As you can see when I put the mouse pointer on the timeline it shows the vid in the little box.

Restarted, cleared cookies and cache and all of that, rebooted twice still the same. Vivaldi is working on YT. Just wondering if anyone has seen this because this is a first for me.

Building a new Production (streaming/video production) PC with a 5070Ti GPU for a friend.

I don't think he's settled yet between Mint or Fedora, my home PC is Mint but that's a ME thing. I let him tinder about on my laptop (Zorin OS) for a while.

Now Nvidia's 590.48.01 works fine with my RTX 4080 Super but I've yet to build a machine for someone wanting to run Linux and they're also wanting to run a 5000 series GPU.

I've built more 2000 and 3000 series PC's as well as all flavors of Radeon card PC's than anything both Windows and Linux but mainly Linux with the "crowd" that I tend to knock around with.

Just figure I'd ask to see if anyone's running a 5000 series on whatever Distro and if they've had issues or not. If we're waiting on drivers to catch up then I'll suggest he let me install the 4060 he has in his old machine for the time being.

And thanks to theremyyy_ and Upstairs-Combs1631 for commenting before it was removed waiting on Mod approval. I think I'll install each on a VM on my Laptop that he has and see how he likes them. The 5000 series GPU is probably going to be the hinge pin on his decision but we'll see.

The Bot at Linux didn't think this post was appropriate and suggested that I asked it over here 🤷🏽‍♂️

Thanks in advance.
