How to become friends with my crush?
Hi guys, I (18F) have a crush on my classmate (18F) - Stella (fake name). We’re classmates for 3 years and next year is our last year together. I started to like her about 2 years ago and it was just small crush, but recently it has started to affect me more than I want to, so I want to do something with that. She’s bi so orientation shouldn’t be a problem.
Unfortunately, we’re not even friends and I’m really bad at making friends. I’m usually kinda awkward from the beginning and I don’t know how to start conversations etc.
I recently became friends with one of her friend - Linda. She is also our classmate. I told her I can’t stop thinking about Stella and she told me that she too. So that’s a little complication haha.
But Linda isn’t sure about her and Stella, they are flirting but I don’t think they would date. Linda also has crushes on different guys so I don’t think it’s something serious between them. I thought that Linda could help me with Stella, but she doesn’t seem like she would do that. I didn’t ask her, but I feel like she doesn’t take my crush on Stella seriously.
I’m thinking about asking her out, but I think I would have a bigger chance if we were friends first. Asking her out now would be probably very surprising for her. Once I’m friends with someone, I don’t have a problem with flirting etc. so I wouldn’t be awkward but I’m not sure if I have a time for that.
I would appreciate any tips how to become friends with her or some cute ways how to ask her out.
