Hey can someone help me calculate how much percentage I should take from my state, federal taxes and penalty withdrawal. I got laid off and I’m looking to withdrawal 45,000 I live in NY and my salary was 81,300 but was only paid till March till I was laid off. I received a lump sum severance pay of 25,015 (before taxes) and potentially might receive unemployment but that’s not guaranteed.
Wanted some advice, I was supposed to receive my severance pay 1-2 pay cycles after my last day of work. It has been almost 2 months and I was supposed to get paid today. This was escalated and I have written response and confirmation that the payment was to be sent out today to me. It’s now 10:30 AM I’m not seeing anything, I gave the employer a call and they have to raise a case and escalate it. There’s no straight forward answer here, I’m going in circles at this point. I have bills and a mortgage to pay and I’m extremely stressed out. Has anyone had a similar issue? What did you do? How long did it take?
