How can I not give up as a new driver with first car and trying to diy a couple of things.
New driver here and recently bought a hyundai i20 comfort 2009 1.2l petro manual because I did not want to pay huge insurance premium. Couple of months down the line and my clock spring was shot. Got a quote for £450 including labour so I decided to get the part and fix it myself. It was easy once I got the parts and tools. Then the steering rack was shot too. Mechanic took £572 to fix it. Then after a week make brake got spongy. I checked the reservoir and it was almost empty. Did a little googling and looked for leaks, there, one line was shot. Bought some flaring tools, brake lines etc. Oh boy was I in for an andventure, from brake lines leaking again to one caliper not bleeding to stuck sliding pins. I really want to give up but i still want to push through. DIY fellows here, what keeps you going, I really need advice.
Tldr: new driver with new car trying to learn how to work on cars but keep running into issues upon issues.
