TCGs ranked by business viability in Japan - Sorcery in C tier

Tomoharu is a mtg pro player who also does video content on mtg and tcg related.

He previously did a similar tier list and updated it recently. One can check out the link below:

Of note this tier list is not on how well the tcg plays, but really about business viability for lg owners.

Which also makes me wonder about Haine from wizards den whom used to make sorcery content but has gone quiet ever since after Arthurian legends. Any folks who has been to Japan able to comment on the sorcery scene?

Tried this local brand “prawn stick keropok milk chocolate” snack by Mr Bucket

Thought it would be a weird taste experience but surprising not too confusing on the palate. That’s because it was largely the chocolate which I can taste which is above average quality. The prawn cracker component lacks the umami’s taste and fragrance, and wasn’t obvious, which was not surprising looking at the chocolate-to-cracker ratio in my 3rd picture. In my later bites I attempted to allow the chocolate to melt first and that was the only time I could subtly taste the prawn flavour.

The overall experience would probably be similar if the cracker was substituted with any sort of savoury cracker. If I want a chocolate or prawn cracker, I will get them separately according to my preferred brands. I’m unlikely to buy this again but probably won’t reject one if gifted.

Movies like Hot Fuzz but with mystery, more serious tone, belonging to the supernatural or horror genre

A movie where protagonist goes to a new town, we are introduced to the townsfolks, locations, history and culture in details. Easter eggs thrown in that rewards rewatching.

Then unusual events unfold and there is more than meets the eye. And could be either due to horror or supernatural genre. Or even science fiction element.

LGS newcomer into sorcery is quite amazed by how the game is still around with 1 to 1.5 set per year

Our LGS sees on average 1-2 newcomers into sorcery per month adding into the slow but steady growth of players.

The latest newcomer is quite amazed by how the game is still alive in the current climate of tcg having relatively rapid release of sets.

What do you think contributes to this?
