Legends ZA! What?!

Y’all. I wasn’t prepared for this game. I never played Arceus, as I was dissuaded by people I knew saying it was mid. After playing the hell out of Pokopia because it’s SO cute and fun, I was craving an RPG. Well, everyone online, reviews, countless Reddit posts, everyone said Scarlet and Violet on Switch 2 was “the game it was meant to be” and “an entirely new experience”. I hope those people stub their toes, because it was ROUGH, but I powered through because no refunds.

Sharing my disappointment with a long distance friend from college, I was told Legends ZA was far better. Well, she was right.

Legends ZA feels fresh. Exciting. Genuinely fun to explore. Engaging. Even with the clear corners they needed to cut as developers to meet the crazy deadlines expected by management, it’s genuinely SO much fun! They took the active battle mechanics and really made it snappy, have excellent responsiveness, and feel weighty. I genuinely love it. They made the quality of the animations WAY better in this game, it’s wild. And to think, if these incredibly talented developers were actually given the time, they could do EVEN BETTER! Clearly!

I’m so pleased. More people need to play Legends ZA. If you’re a lover of Pokémon who’s been disappointed by numerous games in recent years, give Legends ZA a shot. It will genuinely be a blast for you. :) Makes me very interested to see if Winds and Waves is given more care, and what the Legends series has in store for us.
