Hi everyone! Super excited for my upcoming Seoul trip and trying to do my homework before booking any skin treatments.

I have a South Asian skin tone — medium to slightly deeper warm brown — and I've been reading that some brightening and laser treatments commonly offered at Seoul clinics can actually worsen pigmentation on warmer, melanin-rich skin if the settings aren't adjusted properly. So I want to be really careful about where I go.

I'm looking for a clinic for:

  • Deep cleansing facial
  • Brightening / hyperpigmentation treatment
  • Anti-aging

What I really want is somewhere with a proper doctor-led consultation — not just a coordinator handing me a treatment menu. Ideally someone who will look at my actual skin tone and tell me honestly what's safe and what's not, rather than just pushing the standard brightening package they give everyone.

Has anyone with South Asian, Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, or similarly warm brown skin had a good experience at a Seoul clinic? Or a cautionary story I should know about? Both are equally useful.

Also keen to know — did the doctor actually speak to you directly in English, or was everything through a translator? That matters a lot to me for something this specific.

Thank you in advance, any experience shared is really helpful! 🙏
