Just another day

So today was feeding day. I was optimistic that the snek was going to eat. The mouse was presented and the snek approached the mouse and placed his chin over it. I was sure he would eat it…the moisture ran onto his nose. He just sat there with his chin on it but no chomp. I wiggled it slightly and he smelled it and then just sat there with his chin on the head of the mouse. I dropped it and let him be…but no didn’t eat da mouse.

What is up with that behavior?

Insight is appreciated…

Is it just me?

I have been following hognose listings on MorphMarket for over a year, (I know that is not long), yet I am wondering if anyone else is seeing poor quality offerings with relatively big price tags ($500 - $1k) ?

For example bug-eyed albinos and even some of the "dark eyed" offerings on listings like MorphMarket. Weird stubby head shapes and even what appears to be slight kinks...

There are hognose fans that understand that they are buying an inbred, as those little derps need homes also, and hopefully they are negotiating the buying price, yet it seems that some listers are betting upon consumers being naive or uneducated.

I realize that this is not specific to hognose or reptiles and amphibians in general, I have seen this with dog breeds and in horses...so I was just curious what some of the more experienced folks in the community think.

Is it more prevalent more recently, a trend or better than in past years?

Also does anyone think about what hapens to all of the hognose being purchased with their popularity and where they are 5-years from no
