I’ve been plagued with fibroids for over a decade. My first surgery was laparoscopic in 2016, and the doctor removed an “innumerable” amount of fibroids. I did get pregnant after that accidentally, but had an abortion as I did not want a child with my partner at the time. Fast forward to 2022 I had to have an abdominal Myomectomy with a vertical incision because my fibroids returned and were so large they extended past my bellybutton.

In 2024 I had a molar pregnancy with my husband that was devastating

Now, my fibroids have returned again and I’m at a loss on how to move forward. Logically, it makes no sense for me to keep having these myomectomies and they never solve the problem; my fibroids keep returning. However, we don’t have biological children and closing the door on that is making me much sadder than I anticipated. Additionally, my doctor is willing to try to perform a hysterectomy laparoscopically, whereas for a Myomectomy he would have to reopen my vertical incision (this was a nightmare to recover from). Anyone go through any similar situations? What did you do?
