I have severe dry eye syndrome, but after visiting 5+ ophthalmologists nobody is sure if it is Sjogren's, meibomian gland dysfunction, or maybe even Neurotrophic keratoconjunctivitis. So here I am still navigating it and I'm ready to try anything; red light therapy seems like a good thing to try.

I wanted to know if anyone here has had experience doing Red light therapy to treat dry eye and if you had results. I bought this guy a while back: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CHYH1NL6?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_dt_b_fed_asin_title_0_0

The thing is, in order to get the maximum benefit, I would want to try using it without the goggles. I don't see the point of wearing the goggles if I bought this specifically for my eyes. But I feel a useful sense of caution, and I want to make sure that I'm not going to do a stupid thing by not wearing the goggles, like it could damage my retinas or something.
