hey all, this guy I’m with, both adults, I’m in my early twenties and he’s in his late twenties asks me to split everytime. He was been in between jobs and I supported him emotionally and would pay for our dates and never expected anything from him, but now that he’s got a job and makes even more than me, he still expects and even asks to go 50/50 on almost everything, even if he initiates the plan. I’ve brought it up casually but he’ll just postpone plans til my pay day knowing I’d have no excuse then, so I just stop hinting and pay my share. It’s a little embarrassing for me since when we go out with other couples he’ll secretly ask for my share and not infront of them so he must know that it’s kinda awkward.. this guy is really nice and all but I don’t think it’s worth constantly having to split everything and then just feel bad when I check my bank account lol.. i’ve been with him quite some time and he’s always paid with no issues until he lost his job and thats when I stepped in idk.
