Pregnancy/birth- let’s talk

Am I the only one that finds the entirety of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum SO humiliating. I know it’s a natural thing, but I’m sorry, I guess I’m just easily embarrassed. Going into labor and being exposed to everyone in the room, details about your body being discussed to everyone ALL the time… The lack of privacy when you have a child is mortifying to me. I’m sure I would feel different if my time came (don’t plan on that happening obviously since I’m in this group)… has anyone ever felt this way before?

Let me preface by saying I’m training for state police academy which starts in January.

I’ve been running (somewhat) regularly for about a year. I always run at least a mile, but I usually try to do two miles. My best two mile time is a little over 20 minutes. My mile time, if I really push, is a little over 9 min.

Should I continue working on my two-mile time, or maybe just focus on bettering my single mile time?

I feel a little disheartened when I see other people running a 14-15 minute two-mile, when I have to bust my butt to even achieve what I’m getting now.

I do think my outside-running time would be a little better, I’ve been mostly doing my running on a treadmill, which seems harder to me, for whatever reason…

Can someone give me a little insight on if I’m doing well, or not? Maybe some tips on how to improve?
