Hey! Looking for some honest opinions from midwives please :)
So I’m currently going through the process of transferring my registration from the NMC to AHPRA with hopes to be in Melbourne working/living by the end of the year - and after visiting Geelong recently I’d really like to secure work in the Geelong area.
I understand that there are both a public and a private hospital that provide maternity service to the local area…however a few international and home grown midwives have tried to steer me away from the private sector.
So I’m just after some honest experiences from people that have worked at either or both.
For context. I am used to working in a complex acute maternity unit, with a very advanced Fetal medicine and high level neonatal unit. :)
