Hello all!
I recently inherited a substantial collection of Yugioh cards from a relative. I am aiming to keep them in pristine condition, and it seems the best way to do this would be to sleeve the cards. (I have never owned any sort of card collection before this)
After a little research, it seems that Yugioh cards are slightly smaller than the ‘standard’ card size used by Magic and Pokemon, and thus standard sleeves will not fit the Japanese size cards properly.
I have found an offering of Japanese size sleeves on Amazon (item linked above), by a company called KMC. Is this a reputable brand? Is there something else other than sleeving I should be doing to help keep these cards protected? I have heard of double sleeving, do I need a different kind of sleeve to achieve this? Also, ‘toploaders’ seem to be the ultimate step for protection. Should I skip sleeves entirely and just put the cards into a toploader?
I don’t plan to play them, they will mostly just be sitting on display in my cupboard.
As I said, I am very new to this and every little bit of information helps. I appreciate whatever time you can take to help me out with some clarification and answers 🙏
