Bit of backstory, this person is an ex family friend. She’s got many issues clearly with commitment but this is something I can’t ignore anymore.
Over the span of around 10 years, she’s had at least 12 dogs. The pattern is simple for her, she buys a puppy, it grows up with no training, it acts how a dog does and once it’s about 8 to 12 months old, she gets rid of it.
She’s bred one of them, sold a load of puppies and then got rid of the mother.
She’s had cats too, and surprise she’s got rid of them also.
She has young children and is single, aka is in no position to own dogs and I want to get a ban on her from buying/keeping them.
Shelters are severely overrun and she’s actively contributing to this.
Does anyone have any advice on how to report this? I’ve got concerns of neglect also, from leaving piss and shit everywhere to letting their food be infested with maggots. Although this was more down to her sister while they were in her care, they’re still her dogs.
I don’t really care if I can’t remain anonymous, this gets to me a lot and feel very strongly about doing something about it. I don’t feel this is a police necessary situation, and worry it would not be able to be taken very far, but I want to try.
