Dating apps

Hi everyone! I’m wondering what is your opinion dating apps/ internet platform for people with herpes to have some kind of a safe space.

I have been thinking about this for a while now but before saying anything further I just want to say that I’m encouraging everyone to just continue their sex and love life like before the diagnosis since it absolutely changes nothing about you as a person or anything about your value. Someone once told me so it’s basically like chlamydia premium and I was like damn it literally is just that that. Changes nothing in you or about you, you just need to be a little bit more careful.

Saying that I hope I don’t come off as weird or anything ; I would just like to see how it could potentially work. I have been meeting people on Tinder etc. for a while, disclosing sometimes goes well and sometimes not which is fine. I kinda entered a bit of a darker place and reddit would be my «place of comfort» but we all know what reddit is.

I tried to find some online spaces for hsv dating (pretty surface level research) and stumbled upon one app where I tried to apply but omg it was so tiring. So much useless questions that were obligatory and so much stupid stuff that I gave up mid way. Yes I do understand logic behind that system since it is hard for people to open up to strangers on the internet about something private like that but I think it could be made much easier and fun.

With them asking for too much just makes you feel like you are filling some kind of hospital paper where you are like yes I have a super serious condition where I have to separate myself to a different dating scene. THAT IS NOT TRUE! Reddit can help a bit but it can make it worse when you are in a vulnerable state.

I would be interested in what is your idea of a safe online environment for something like that and do you think we need something like that or not.

English is not my first language so I’m sorry if this is very much out of the order. But thank you for paying attention to this! :)
