Our hot water supply valve wasn’t working so I removed it in hopes of a 5 minute valve replacement job. The new valve wasn’t going into the PVC smoothly and felt like it was crumbling so I wanted to replace that too. While removing the PVC pipe from this opening, it broke at the elbow (relatively easily). Is this as simple as cutting open the base and replacing the rest of the PVC or will I need a plumber out here?
Im looking to make this a warm, cozy space. I’m at a complete loss on what to do, especially with the tile. I’m capable of doing DIY projects for the most part, just don’t have the creativity.
Anyone have any ideas or advice for how to get to my goal?

Just got my first bill for a new house we moved into. This is saying we’ve consumed 4000 gallons of water in 8 days. Is this normal for your first water bill, or is there an issue with the house? I’m sorta nervous for my next water bill to see what a full month would look like.
