AITA for getting my friend uninvited to our mutual friends grad party
So this is kind of a long story...... So I will be changing everyones names bc unfortunately there are A LOT of characters.
- Me 18f, Rose 18f, Jason 18m, Amanda 19f, Clara 19f, Jasmine 18f
So I go to a very small school and everyone KNOWS everyone, and has at least 1 or 2 good/bad stories about each other. So at the beginning of this school year Rose and Clara start dating and they were like THE lesbian couple (I go to an artsy school so there are a lot of gay people). Now Rose had only been known for dating other girls and her and I were very close the school year before, but recently she had started leaving me out of things and not talking to me as much. I thought it was just because of a new relationship but idk.
Now Rose and Clara were going strong until early March when out of the blue they break up... This is school wide drama, (bc nothing happens at this school) because everyone thought they were like this power couple. Now this is where shit gets kinda weird...
In early march my school went on a trip to look at colleges and on said trip a rumor starts that Rose hooked up with not just Jason but his WHOLE friend group........
But first here's some background on Jason: He is a racist, a boarderline neo-nazi, and sexist to top it off. Not only that, but he cyber harassed/bullied and made Jasmine want to die for an entire year. So all that to say: hes not well liked at the gay artsy school.
Ok so back to the rumors. Now things start to circulate because if this rumored hooking up did happen Rose would have definitely cheated on Clara who she said she broke up with because she didnt want to tie her down when Clara left for college. But these rumors starting and they the break up didn't make it not look like Rose didn't cheat, even if it was just "emotional." Now Prom happens in late april and that is when they stop "hiding" the relationship from the school and they kiss (crazy.. truly). But because of that Jasmine who had been saying she was fine with the relationship says that she knows she is NOT fine with it, especially because in the "2 weeks" they claim they have been dating they are alrwady saying "i love you."
Now I tell Amanda this wholeeeee thing and even though everyone else in the theater department got invited to amandas graduation party including Jasmine and Rose's other friends, bc of Jason, Rose is no longer invited, and without me telling Amanda about who Jason is, she would still be invited.
Rose and I have also started to go back to the relationship we had before Clara and her were dating and it is nice to have one of my best friends back but I am nervous about what would happen if she found out I was the one to told Amanda about Jason, and by proxy am the reason she is not invited.
