Wondering if anyone can relate to the below and offer any solutions? Or advise what this could be?
For the last couple of months on hair wash day I’ve noticed a weird sewer/eggy smell in the shower. I was convinced it was the water, but my partner couldn’t smell it, and on non hair wash days I wear a shower cap, and never smelled it then.
I tested showering with the cap and then removing it and realised the smell was coming from my hair when wet. I tried washing it throughly the last couple washes (3 shampoos and a conditioner) but it still smells.
I’m using head and shoulders derma care shampoo, and have been the last couple months. I wash my hair 2-3 times per week, not usually using any other products between washes other than a dry shampoo maybe once. After hair wash I use a repairing oil and leave in cream, which has always been part of my routine, before drying.
Nothing diet wise, medication wise or product wise has changed.
I normally just do 2 shampoos on the root and condition the ends when I was my hair.
Not had any colour or treatment put on it for 6months.
