hesi stress

I just signed up for NurseHub two days ago just to see where I was at, and I did all the diagnostic tests. I completely flunked the math section to the point where I didn’t even finish it. I got 64/75 on vocabulary and grammar, and got 40 on bio and 28 on chem. I want to cry because my test is supposed to be in 4 days. Luckily, I scheduled two tests earlier in the semester just in case something like this happened or I didn’t do as well on my first attempt. I feel so ashamed because I thought I knew what I was doing. For context, I didn’t study in high school and only moved forward because of the “No Child Left Behind” program. I didn’t care in high school so I didn’t try, and now I’m having to relearn a lot of the material as an adult. For anyone who has been in a similar situation, how did you deal with the shame of feeling like a failure, and do you have any tips you can pass along for studying?
