Okay.

So, a little bit of context: I have a condition that often affects my short-term memory and gives me some pretty intense brain fog. I've learned to live with it, but today, my brain decided to completely exit the chat.

Today, I hopped in my Peugeot 208 to go visit my uncle, who lives in a town named "Sens." It was a long drive, but the visit was great.

I’m a student, and driving after having class all day long is pretty hard. I don’t live near my school.

I stayed for pretty much three hours with him, just talking, eating, drinking beer, and playing Mario Kart.

By the time I was ready to leave, I was feeling pretty exhausted. My uncle, being the generous guy he is, noticed I was flagging and said:

"I’ll pay for a taxi and you’ll go home so you can sleep well."

I thanked him profusely, hugged him goodbye, and hopped into the taxi. In the taxi, I was watching a football game and I almost fell asleep. (I live 55 km away from my uncle).

The taxi dropped me off at my front door. I reached into my pocket to grab my house keys... and my fingers brushed against my car keys. (Yeah, my uncle thought i took the local transports to come…)

Note : it’s 4 hours by bus and train and one hour with a car

So… right now, it’s 00:55. I just want to thank God that I don’t have classes tomorrow and that I can take a taxi in the morning to go back to my uncle's and get my car back.

TL;DR: My uncle offered to pay for my taxi home after a long visit. My brain forgot I drove there in my Peugeot 208.
