Hey everyone,
I recently got my tourist Schengen visa rejected (Germany) and I’m honestly pretty confused and stressed about it. I applied from the US (I’m on an F1 visa, Indian passport).

The refusal reason mentioned something along the lines of “unreliable/unclear travel documents.”
For my application, I had submitted:
Every other required document for students- offer letter, financial statements, i20, lease, and basically everything else that was checklisted for application.

However, I did not include a detailed day-by-day itinerary, which I now realize might have been a mistake. Also, my flight tickets were through a travel agent, so I’m wondering if they didn’t look fully confirmed or credible from the embassy’s perspective.

I’m planning to reapply with:
Fully confirmed (paid) flight tickets
Hotel bookings from reliable platforms
A proper day-by-day itinerary
A stronger cover letter explaining everything clearly
My main concern is timing — it’s only been about a week since my refusal.

Do you think it’s okay to reapply this soon, or should I wait longer? Getting a date 2 weeks from now. I don’t want to risk another rejection.

Also, should I explicitly mention in my cover letter that I didn’t include a detailed itinerary earlier and that my bookings were through a travel agent? Or is it better to just submit stronger documents without highlighting past issues too much?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has reapplied after a rejection, especially from the US as a student.
Thanks a lot :)
