Truck won’t start
My ford f150 it’s a 2014 ford f150 5.0 won’t start or stay running I can jump start it and it will start up after like 10 minutes and no matter how long you keep it on the jumper cables when you take them off it automatically dies I got a brand new battery and this is happening I got it tested at auto zone cause they said the battery was bad so replace it and this is happens and they claim my alternator is good but I’m starting to think it’s probably the alternator right? And when I did jump it there a battery sign on the dash and and before this happened the battery cables that is connected to the battery would smoke and melt and smell like it was burning and the plus one the battery cable one the plus one that is red kinda looks damaged could that be the issue? Here is the pics of what it looks like and if I need to get a new battery cables how much am I looking at any recommendations would be greatly appreciated thanks
