Upgrade requests looks different on app
My dad (1k but still doesn’t understand how a lot of united processes work) booked me a flight to come with him on a business trip to London in July. He booked me in economy and said he applied plus points to request both PP and Polaris upgrades for both the out going and return flight. When I went to add the reservation to my account in the app the return flight looks normal with the waitlist icon under my current seat assignment. However, the outgoing flight does not have the waitlist icon but instead lists the EWR-LHR segment twice more below both the booked outgoing and return flight. The two extra segments are the exact same EWR-LHR flight I’m currently booked on but say “This flight segment is waitlisted” and one is an RN fare class and the other PZ. Anyone know why the upgrade request is displaying this way on the app? Thanks!
