Help building PC so I can finally keep up with my bf
I am finally biting the bullet and researching what I should buy for my first build. I have been playing on my bf’s old pc he kindly let me use but he told me it is too outdated to upgrade and would be best to start from scratch. It is quite overwhelming trying to understand all of the different parts and I want to understand the basics so that I don’t sound like a complete idiot when we work on the PC together.
I personally play a variety of games, mainly Planet Zoo, Fortnight, Hogwarts, Rainbow 6 siege and I am wanting the new pc will be able to play the new subnautica and other AAA games at 1440p.
My end goal is to have a pc that will easily hold at least the next 5 years and I would rather invest in good parts now than buying something cheaper and having to replace the part in 2-3 years. Here is what I am looking at right now:
RTX 5070 or RTX 5070Ti or a Asus AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT OC
Ryzen 7 9700X or ryzen 7 9850X3D or Intel Core Ultra 7 265k
Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 32gb (is 64gb overkill)
For SSD I was told as long as the speed is over 7000MB/s and you have 1TB on the main and an extra that has at least 1TB works best
Asus B650e Max or Asus X870 MAX
Corsair RMe Series RM750e PSU or Asus 750W 80 + Gold
For fans i have no idea
I am totally open to other recommendations, this is just what I put together in my recent research and my budget is around $3000 hopefully under. Also any tips or basic advice is greatly appreciated. (Based in Europe, DK)
