hi (29F) so 9 days ago i was put on effexor 37.5 XR and told to take it in the morning with breakfast. on monday my psychiatrist is going to up my dose to whatever the next increment is. anyway the first day was miserable it felt like i was actively trying not to throw up all day. from the second day onward, i noticed i felt extreme fatigue throughout the day. it's been hard to stay awake and to concentrate on things. then 7 days ago i started taking it in the evening around 7:30 (i've been going to bed at 10:30/11). now that i'm taking it at night i wake up at least once an hour and don't get good quality sleep. even when i take melatonin in addition or hydroxyzine. i don't have an issue falling asleep, just staying asleep. i've heard sleep disturbances can be common as your body adjusts - im just wondering if anyone has had similar adjustment issues and if so, what time of the day you found is best for you to take it? i normally like to go to bed around 11/11:30 and wake up at 6:45. also i take the extended release.
