Hey everyone,

I’m looking to buy my first proper camera with a budget of around $1500 CAD (flexible if worth it) and could use some advice as I already have iphone 17 pro max.

I think can get a good photograph/videos with a dedicated camera. My main goal is have great videos memories of my honeymoon this summer. Have great photos of my wife to be a good husband, ofcourse. Also, I live in a beautiful city (Victoria, BC, Canada) and have a tons of hike and beaches where I often look to take beautiful nature photo/vidoes and think I can use for those. Also, for our few trips all over the year.
Just want something that captures real moments nicely, not trying to be a full-time content creator

What I care about:

Good photo quality (important)
Solid video quality (great cinematic video as I know editing and love it)
Easy to use but also something I can grow into
Good autofocus (for moving shots / candid moments)
Decent in outdoor lighting (beach, sunlight, etc.)

Cameras I’m considering or any in my budget:

Canon R10
Canon R50
Sony ZV-E10 II or ZV-E10 I

My confusion:

Is it worth getting a camera at all if I already have an iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Other main goal is great photos at sunset by the bea h for honeymoon also great video, both are equally important.

Anylens recommendations within this budget would be super helpful
