This book took place during WW2 at some point. The main character is a girl who mentions specifically about the time she went to Hawaii and the department store had lipstick samples for her to take so she took a bunch.

The other thing I vividly remember is somehow the girls purse got thrown over something and sank to a pond or reservoir and she had to go dive in weeks later and get it.

So I have naturally very curly hair but I often feel like I cannot style it properly or that the curls end up frizzy even after doing my whole hair routine. Only occasionally will I ge the result where it all dries and my curls are perfectly defined and laid out. I feel like I can only do it by accident. A lot of time I find that my curls often feel stuck to my head instead of the gorgeous ringlets I know I have.

The first three pictures are my hair in what I define as a good day. The curl appear to be nice and defined and I have some volume to my hair .

The last two pictures are how my hair has been the past few weeks. I feel like it looks frizzy and the curls are mushed together in the frizz.

My usual routine to do my hair in the evening is as follows:

  1. Wash with ouidad vital curl + clear and gentle shampoo

  2. Condition with ouidad advanced climate control defrozzing conditioner

  3. Get out of the shower and leave my hair very wet

4 add the ouidad moisture lock leave in conditioner to wet hair

  1. Finish with ouidad vitacurl+ weightless curl defining mousse OR JVN complete air dry cream

6 let my hair air dry naturally

When I sleep I usually just sleep on my pillow like normal. Going to be totally honest I do not know what a refresh routine is.

I am also going to be attending a wedding this weekend and want some easy to do updos for my type of curly hair.

Thank you in advance. It is a blessing to have my curls but they can be so frustrating as well!
