I was traveling for work and was going to be somewhere for 3 months. Decided to join Crunch with the month to month contract knowing there would be some fees that aren’t obvious when you first join. Here is the totals for 3 months for anyone looking to join crunch thinking they’re getting a deal.
First day:
initiation fee of $20
First month dues $17.49
Prorated annual fee $10.92
Total of $48.41
Second month:
Monthly dues - $19.48 - not sure why it went up
3rd month (make sure you cancel right at 60 days so they don’t lock you in for another month)
Annual fee - $65.60
Monthly dues - 19.49
Total of $85.09
Total for 3 months - $152.98
They say you get a prorated annual fee but still sneak in an annual fee 60 days after you sign up. It may say this in the contract but the person behind the desk will scroll through to just the signature parts. Again I knew this was coming, im just making this post to help people who are debating one gym over another cost wise.
