Hey y'all, my wife and I are coming up on the end of our lease in August (so not immediately, but definitely close enough that I'm starting to stress). We both have pretty rough credit, but decent (not great, but decent) paying jobs, and my mother who has great credit is willing to co-sign. Does anyone know any property management companies that work with lower credit scores? I'm not opposed to private landlords but we've had horrible luck with them (our shower didn't work for almost a month at our current place) so would definitely need someone to vouch for the quality of any private landlords. If area helps at all, we're currently looking at trying to stay north of the loop, with a lot of interest in Andersonville/Edgewater/Boystown/Uptown/Ravenswood/Rogers Park.
EDIT: We are ideally looking for a 2 bed (or a large 1bed, I'm a teacher and need space for a desk/office area) under the 2.3k mark, and we have a cat so pet friendly is important. The areas listed above aren't absolute musts but we do want to try and stay north as that's where our jobs and friends are.
