Best practices for 510 carts?
Hi,
I've had lots of freebase experiences in the past but recently I've been mixing various ratios of DMT/PG/VG and trying different vape setups, I like the ROA a lot but I can't seem to get it working well. Vapes are mostly illegal where I am so I have only been able to try using pod system vapes (caliburn/vaporesso xros) & 510 carts.
I found the coils in the pod system vapes would get clogged/burned/ruined very quickly and would not consistently wick up the juice, which is why I switched to trying 510 carts. Cartridges seem to be a bit more reliable but still usually start having issues well before the carts empty.
I have yellow DMT tartrate salt, what does everyone think the best ratio is for DMT:E-Liquid in 510 carts? The strongest I have made so far has been 1:1 but I am thinking with the 510 carts, 2:1 maybe necessary to avoid taking overly long hits repeatedly. Do you use any VG, or just PG?
Using a 510 cart & battery (Yocan Uni Pro, Yocan Kodo etc...), what voltage do you usually use?
And to prevent the carts from clogging, does anyone have any tips on getting the DMT salt to dissolve cleaner into the PG? I have been using a shot glass in a hot water bath but I am always left with some floating bits that dont seem to dissolve. Are these impurities or plant materials?
Would it be best for me to instead try to convert the tartate salt to freebase?
Any advice, discussion, thoughts would be much appreciated!
