Mind blown by the base coat sandwich

You all are geniuses! Long time lurker, first time poster...but the base coat sandwich method for magnetics was so successful I had to share my results. Base coat sandwich = one layer of base coat (I used KB Shimmer Hydrating) after the magnetic polish, no need to magnetize again at all (even for top coat!)

Saw this on a few posts last week and had to give it a try. Only magnetized once and the glass bead remained beautiful the next day (movie). I like mine a little dispersed. Saved me so much time, and there was no noticeable shrinkage.

For science, I did my right thumb only without the sandwich and magnetized the top coat as usual and I can't see any difference between the hands. I only had trouble with bubbles on my left thumb nail, which isn't smooth (because I smashed it in a car door last year and it grew back with some character...so don't do that and you should be fine lol)

Product list/protocol:

1x KB Shimmer Hydrating Base Coat

1x MC Getting Even Nail Primer

3x BKL In Seeking Life, I Created Death (magnetized the final, thick coat only with the charmcaster glass bead tool for 2 min per finger) + 4-5 min extra waiting to dry after all fingers were done

1x KB Shimmer Hydrating Base Coat + 4-5 min wait to dry (still a little sticky though)

1x MC Speed Demon

Also my first BKL ever, it's sooooo beautiful! You all totally influenced me to pick this one up :)
