Finding other monogamous trans folk is so hard ;_;
I know it’s confirmation bias when dealing with the apps since poly individuals don’t delete when they find someone new, but omg it feels like one out of a hundred other trans girls are mono, and then you have to hope you’re compatible and so far I’ve had 0 luck :/ I prefer dating t4t for a myriad of reasons, but I feel like I’m setting myself up for disappointment with my preferences. Like, I don’t mind dating poly folk for casual fun, but I know it doesn’t work for me in a committed/serious relationship, and hookups are only fun for so long, or I catch feelings but know it wouldn’t work so I have to cut ties. I feel like sometimes I should just compromise and give a committed poly relationship a try, but that just feels like I’d be setting myself up for even MORE hurt down the line when I inevitably can’t deal with it. Bleh. Dating is hard.
