Hi all! We're moving next week and are replacing the carpet in the house with bamboo flooring. I've researched several options with low VOCs, no off-gassing, etc. and I think we've landed on Ambient BP flooring.

My questions are your thoughts on the SPC core vs plywood core - both have strand woven engineered bamboo on top.

We're in Florida, installing on concrete as a floating floor. The SPC core option comes with the underlayment attached already for sound (they also state it is for vapor) but should we install a separate vapor barrier anyway? It's like $100 for the square footage we'd need.

Are there any other considerations we need to think about? Transition pieces, spacers of any kind for the edges? Any help is much appreciated.
