Honest review of Data Analytics with Python exam
Just finished the Data Analytics with Python exam and wanted to give a realistic review.
The paper had 3 sections:
Section 1: 19 questions (attempt 18). Mostly basic stats concepts — Z, t, and chi-square tables. Not very hard, but you needed to actually understand what you were doing.
Section 2: 25 questions. Around 7–8 questions were similar to assignments, but the rest were application-based. If you only practiced assignments, this section was tricky.
Section 3: 7 questions, all numerical. This was the most time-consuming part. Required proper formula knowledge and problem-solving, not guesswork.
Overall takeaway:
If you relied only on mugging up assignments, this paper would be difficult. The exam clearly tested conceptual understanding. Going lecture by lecture and actually learning the topics is necessary if you want good marks.
Assignments alone ≠ enough.
