What I learned when my vibe-coded micro-saas was at zero domain authority

I’ve been using Cursor to build and launch micro-saas saas products lately. The development speed is absolutely insane, what used to take months now takes days. But as many of you know, building is only 20% of the battle. Marketing is the real thing for MRR.

A few weeks ago, I launched a new tool. Weeks went by with absolutely zero organic traffic. When I finally started researching and realized a issue that my Domain Rating was zero. Google simply didn't trust my site yet, leaving me completely invisible.

To fix this, I stopped coding and started focusing purely on foundational SEO:

- Manually finding active, high-authority platforms (like IndieHackers, Hackernews, etc.).
- Submitting my product to high-authority directories and platforms to build clean, trustworthy backlinks.
- Tracking my Ahrefs metrics to see what actually working for me.

Slowly, my DR started increasing, and Google finally started indexing my pages and I was getting early traffic.

During this process, I realized how tedious it is to find active, non-spammy directories that actually provide value. So, I built a micro-SaaS to solve my own problem:
listmy(.)site
It is a platform that helps founders skip the manual grind and submit to high-authority directories manually to build domain trust early.

I'm sharing this because I see a lot of founders here launching incredible tools but struggling with the exact same invisible 0 DR wall.

I just got my first paying customer 😭

I launched a new version of my directory submission service 15 days ago. And today, I got my first paying customer!

The feeling was really great and can't be described. Although I sold the service to a few customers while in the old version using cold emails, I didn't have the platform to show up!
So I built a landing page to show more about my service.

I got the customer using a f5bot email today. I had a conversation with the client and we closed the deal. I am really happy if you guys give me a feedback on my website. I am a self taught developer.

My first sales

How I earned 1.4k signups in 90 days with 0 ad spend

I’ve been experimenting with a strategy for my product launch platform, and the results finally hit a small milestone today. And yes, we just crossed 1,398 total users.

The most interesting part is I didn’t spend a single dollar on Meta or Google ads (I dont have a Google Ads account haha).

The strategy was simple but tedious- I focused entirely on submitting the product to high-authority, researched directories.

Most people think directories are dead SEO, but if you find the right ones that actually have active traffic and high domain authority, the results compound. By getting the site listed in the right spots like Indie Hackers, I managed to create a consistent stream of daily organic traffic that converts into signups.

If you are at initial stage, you should..
Stop wasting money on ads before you've exhausted organic channels.
High-authority directories provide long-term traffic.
Focus on researched and active lists rather than spamming every site you find.

I spent weeks researching the directories that actually worked for my products. If anyone is struggling with initial traction, I would be more helpful guiding them.

Or you can use tools like listmy(.)site , they get listed on your website in 100+ directories, and you can save your 60+ hours.

See launching or listing your startup in these directories is a way to get initial 10-100 users, everytime it may not get 100 users but will always provide initial traction and reactions.

AND

On platform with heavy traffic, DIY is best way - ProductHunt, Uneed, Peerlist etc [ only 8-10 such exists ] On such platforms launch yourself and try to get upvotes.

For SEO -

Yes it is a good way to start, as directories are good for authority building and provide a good source for LLMs recognition layer too.

But focus on Blogs, Indexing, Free tools, More backlinks also.

My saas got crazy reviews. Am I on the right track?

https://preview.redd.it/1tjbujzlnp0h1.png?width=1171&format=png&auto=webp&s=8327500a056719967fd2ea5ae45496937913c665

I shipped my saas a few months ago and that basically build the backlinks for the websites from the high Authority platforms that help them increase the Domain Ranking and traffic of their website and I am getting good reviews. The idea is that I manually submit the saas/app to high domain raning websites that help users to get rank better on google and other search engines as well as on some LLM models (LLMs also get the results from high authority sites).
Initially I work through communication on the mails but now I have created a website, a platform for the same. What things are needed to be improved? Am I on the right track?
