Green Apprentice

Hi everyone, I’m in Ontario, Canada, and I recently graduated with honors from Sheridan College’s Pre-Apprentice Plumbing Technician program.

I’m trying to break into the skilled trades and would really appreciate advice on the best path forward. My main interest is plumbing as a Level 1 apprentice or helper, but I’m also open to welding, HVAC, sprinkler fitting, or any hands-on trade where I can gain job-site experience and build a long-term career.

I already have WHMIS, Working at Heights, First Aid/CPR, a G2 license, and access to a vehicle. I’m open to driving long distances or relocating anywhere in Canada for the right opportunity.

For anyone already in the trades, what would you recommend as the best next step to land that first opportunity?
