u/Vivint installed a camera security system at my home in Birmingham, AL in December 2023. It has NEVER worked properly — not one single day in 28 MONTHS.
Here's what Vivint has done about it:
✅ Sent 2 technicians — neither fixed it
✅ Canceled EVERY service appointment I scheduled over 3 weeks
✅ Missed 4 appointments in the last month ALONE
✅ Kept billing me $51.47 every month for a system that doesn't work
✅ Wasted HOURS of my time on the phone with zero resolution
✅ Now threatening me with an EARLY TERMINATION FEE for THEIR failure
I have paid over $1,441 in service fees plus 28 months of equipment loan payments through Citizens Pay — for equipment that has NEVER functioned.
I have now filed formal complaints with:
🔴 Alabama Electronic Security Board of Licensure
🔴 Alabama Attorney General Consumer Protection Division
🔴 Federal Trade Commission
🔴 Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
🔴 Better Business Bureau
And I am prepared to file in Shelby County Small Claims Court for the maximum $6,000.

If you are a homeowner considering Vivint, please think twice. A 60-month contract with a company that will not stand behind their equipment or their service commitments is not worth it.
