Hi, I am from Ranchi, currently based in Bangalore with my husband. I have this deep desire to start an online saree business, with possible expansion later as I build. I’d like to understand the nuances of this business better before starting out. Any tips/ recommendations/ connections on how to start, how to build an authentic weaver base, how do the margins and profits work etc. are few questions on my mind. I’m personally a fan of Banarasi sarees and would love to start the sourcing from Varanasi. Please let me know what the community thinks! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
