Thought on Wahed invest?

Hey guys,

I’m a first-time investor and still in college, so I don’t have a lot to invest yet, but I wanted to start early. I signed up with Wahed invest and deposited $100 USD on May 1st, but it’s May 8th now and the deposit is still processing. Is that normal the app?

Besides that, are there any issues or downsides I should know about with Wahed? I chose it mainly because I want halal investing, long-term growth, and something easy to use. Right now I selected a very aggressive portfolio since I’m in my early 20s and planning for the long term.

For people with experience in halal investing:

  • Do you think Wahed is a good option for beginners?
  • Are there better halal investing platforms/apps I should look into?
  • Any advice for someone starting small and investing long term?

Thanks : )

just me and sometimes one other guy. tried a few apps and they all have something that drives me crazy

the big ones like jobber feel way too big and expensive for what i need. the cheap ones are missing basic stuff

like why cant the client just click approve on a quote instead of me having to call them every time. or attach a photo to each line item so they can see exactly what i replaced

what are you guys using day to day. especially if you're solo or just a small crew

been working solo for a few years now and invoicing is still the part i hate most

what are you guys using? anything you actually like or are we all just putting up with something that kinda works

I just use Excel, it does the job but theres stuff thats just missing that seems so basic. like i cant attach a photo to a specific job item. and after i send a quote i have no idea if the client even saw it — i always end up texting them to check which is annoying

just curious what other solo guys are doing
