I'm sure there is already a guide (I just can't find it).

But I'm looking at making a Metroidvania mod for Halo ce. Haloid Prime if you will.

One main thing I would need to know is how to retrieve arbitrary data from something the player did or has, Save that info, and have that info retrieved when in a different map.

Any answers or links that have that specific information in it would be awesome.
