Female budgies r under appreciated, please show me yours!!

Anyone own a flock that is either entirely female or majority female? Post them in the comments and tell us about them! Would love to show people female birds can make lovely companions. I fear I see too many people be influenced to only ever get males because others recommend male only flocks. there’s so many lovely girls that would love homes that often don’t get them.

I currently have 2 females, Lumi and Opal. They have their moments but they are so entertaining and get along better then when I had Lumi and Juno ( rip). I got Lumi and thought I was not cut out for females, but after she mellowed out and I got Opal I realized I was looking at them from a completely different perspective

Are zoo med enclosures usually this low quality?

This is my first big tank and 1st zoo med, please help me understand.

I got my 18x18x36 brand new and there’s a lot of weird imperfections, the top screen mesh has plastic that looks like it was melted together and not only sharp but accessible to an animal in the enclosure. Near the top of the door the plastic has a thin layer that is peeling upwards.

I keep getting mixed opinions on what to do with it, i believe I should return it but don’t know if the quality is usually this off and if I can expect this from many more larger enclosures regardless of brand

Skyscraper vs paludarium for bioactive

If anyone has a 18x18x36 paludarium or skyscraper enclosure can you tell me your experience with a bioactive drainage layer? Is there enough room in the skyscraper for drainage and for plants to fully root?

I bought the paludarium because I wasn’t aware I got the skyscraper where I live ( shocker, I do), I just find the space between the bottom and start of the door to be way too big even with the drainage layer. I’m tempted to switch it out but don’t want to if some people have an experience with the skyscraper being too small from the bottom to the door for a proper layer
