I'm looking to go all out on an e-reader. I already have a kindle basic, but that's what it is - basic.

First off, I'm Canadian, keep that in mind for library cards and such ie. Kindles Libby only working in the US

I do not wish to purchase a membership to any monthly books (Kobo Plus, Amazon Unlimited, etc), every book I have on it will be from me or the store that is provided.

I want an e-reader that will stand the test of time. I want a "buy it for life" premium experience, go all out. The best of the best, something that will last me a lifetime.

I have not tried colour e-ink but am willing to try it. Also have not tried Android based e-readers but I am willing to try those too.
