Struggling to decide!
Hi!
I have been playing the drums as a hobby since I was a teenager. Due to moving reasons, I had to sell my drum set and haven’t played for about 4 years.
Now I am in a more “friendly” area, and want to go back to it. I want to buy an e-drum set as it is “less noisy” if I use headsets.
I am struggling to decide between the Alesis Strata Core Bundle kit (with Hihat stand and bass drum pedal) and the Yamaha DTX6K5-M. Both are within my budget (up to $2.4K).
I’ve seen some people struggling with the durability of the Alesis cymbals and setting up the “cross- sensitivity” between pads/cymbals. However, I’ve also read that the sound quality is better than the Yamaha and that the Yamaha Cymbals are quite outdated (but durable).
Any thoughts or suggestions?
