We’re moving into this house in a few weeks and I’m honestly lost at how we should layout this family room. I would love to just make it into a playroom but the fireplace and sliding doors that lead outside to the pool/backyard nix that idea. I don’t know if I like the tv mounted above the fireplace but that seems to be our only option. I played with the idea of the tv on the long wall with a couple of recliners and a small table with a lamp in the middle but that seemed to result in a lot of wasted space plus no convenient outlets.

Our goal is to make this into a reading/chill room. Any suggestions are welcome!!
