Thrilled a ladybug larvae found its way to my 3rd floor balcony!
Happy this friend made it to the 3rd floor!
Lady bug larvae on my seedling tray. Relocated to a Columbine.
Please pardon my guilty pleasures of lobelia and columbine cultivars. They are my favorite colours.
I get barely 6 hours of morning sun with a little longer at the railing. It’s windy and dry, and I’m not allowed to hang anything on the railings themselves.
Everyone is still in their nursery pots for a couple weeks so they can contemplate their new surroundings. I’m considering hanging pots for the geraniums with the lobelia, but they would dry out like crazy. The Blue Star will go in a 20” pot, possibly with thyme.
The astilbe was a surprise in one of the geraniums. I’ve set it in the one spot I have that gets no sun whatsoever because of angles and uprights.
I’m not sure what I’m doing, but so far everyone’s survived up here for over a week!
The geranium chatto I brought home Saturday had more going on than I noticed at the nursery.
Bonus seedling from the bottom of one pot will spend a month in the goblin head.
Bonus astilbe entangled with the other geranium might make it. I’m given to understand the geranium will tolerate all the activity. I may try to give it to a neighbor on the shady side of the building if my one shady corner isn’t enough. That’s a big plant when mature!
