I’ve lost too many games simply because supports refuse to heal Widow, despite her having good stats.

Great contrast comparison for Pure v RM2

Personally, the contrast of RM2 has been the #1 pain point for me and it might be enough for me to upgrade.

Widow has a ton of bugs, and it’s become a running joke in the Black Widow community that every new update just adds more. The main ones we run into really hurt her gameplay and impact the player’s abilities. These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head, other Black Widow players could probably name even more.

- Inability to grapple after a kick
- The grapple colliding with geometry cancels your grapple. (happens 75% of the time)
- Shot no Reg (Notably this issue is across the game as a whole and not specific to the character)
- Delays when you can start charging your ultimate after pressing Q
- 3 second delay before energy recharge

There are countless other bugs and issues I won’t list. Before getting into the passive, I want to address her kick cooldown and suggest what I think is a fair adjustment.

My idea is a simple conditional cooldown: if you attempt the kick and miss, it’s a 5-second cooldown. If you hit someone with kick but fail to grapple after the 5-second grapple window, you get another 5-second cooldown, making it effectively 10 seconds. If you successfully kick and grapple, the cooldown is 15 seconds. The reason for this change is that while the ability can guarantee at least one kill, it shouldn’t hit you with a harsh 15-second cooldown unless you’ve fully used its potential.

Passive Idea: Fang Strike

The idea behind Widow is to create a strong, heavy-hitting character with impressive long-range capabilities, something few characters can pull off, without giving her the one-hit power available to Hawkeye. This is largely due to her gameplay design, which focuses on front-lining rather than staying in the back like typical snipers in other games. Without going into too much detail, the biggest issue that hinders Widow is the bonus health or armor (blue health) that characters can gain or receive. On paper, it makes sense to reward players for actions they should be taking, but this mechanic affects Widow more than any other character. Since she needs to deal heavy damage and lacks a one-shot kill, bonus health impacts her performance significantly.

My proposal is "Fang Strike": Critical Hits bypass Bonus Health, dealing damage directly to base health.

There are two key aspects to consider. First, the effect is triggered exclusively by critical shots, thereby rewarding precise aim and leaving targets unaffected by standard body shots. Second, it grants Widow a distinctive role unprecedented in the game, positioning her as a countermeasure to bonus health advantages.

I think this is the best way to give Widow a solid overall buff without completely changing her kit. If implemented, I believe she could jump from most people's F-D tier up to at least a B-A.

This Zelda game holds a special place in my heart as the first I ever played. When I visited my grandfather, he had a Game Boy with Link’s Awakening. I would sit in his chair for hours, completely absorbed, and feel sad when I had to leave it behind at his house.

Wind Waker holds a special place in my heart, perhaps even ranking as my all-time favorite game. However, there’s one aspect of the game that has lingered in my mind since childhood, the faces of the fairies you catch. This particularly inspired the creation of this painting.
