Tight brake pads question

Tight brake pads question

1993 Suzuki Sidekick 8v

Is it common for ends of the brake pads to be just a bit too tight even when lubricated?

The calibers are brand new, so there’s no dirt or grit in there. I was thinking of filing the brake pad ends a bit, or is that a bad idea?

Pro Boondock lace vs BOA

I’ve been wearing Timberland Pro Boondock lace work boots the past 10ish years, replacing them with new ones when they wear out. I liked them a lot.

Saw there was a BOA tightening system version, figure I’d give them a try. Been wearing them for a few days and they feel horrible. It doesn’t tighten evenly, and it’s either too tight or too loose.

-On the seam left and right of the tongue there’s connector flaps which dig into the top of my foot. The lace version had these too but I couldn’t feel them.

-My heels are rubbing raw, maybe because of the uneven BOA system I’m getting heel lift. Sizing is correct it’s the same size I’ve always worn with the same socks.

-In order to get somewhat of an even tighten, I have to put them on and tighten, walk a bit to even out the BOA webbing then tighten it again. I do this 3-4 times before it’s ok feeling.

Anyone else have these issues and have a solution? I’d return these but it’s too late/used.

“Burnaby is adding a new all-direction crossing at a busy Metrotown intersection to improve safety. The scramble will let pedestrians cross in every direction, including diagonally, while all vehicle traffic is stopped. It’s planned for Central Boulevard near Metropolis at Metrotown, one of the busiest pedestrian areas in the city.”

I’m unsure how I feel about this. I’d rather just a pedestrian bridge again, not introduce a concept drivers have no practice with in one of the worst intersections in the city.

I figure there’s nothing better than Grok, but is there anything on iOS that at least has less restrictions?

I feel like at this point even ChatGPT has less
