Flag policy up for discussion tonight!

There is going to be a Flagg policy discussion tonight, May 12th at the Parks, Recreation, Human Services, and Public Safety Committee meeting at 5:00 p.m.

They had decided last year to ban the flying of any non official national, state, or city flags on city property. This was done specifically to avoid continuing to fly the pride and Juneteenth flags at city hall in June. Now the city council is realizing this also bans them from putting up banners on 320th to promote the city during all the fifa promotion.

The discussion tonight is decide if they want to bring it to the regular city council meeting next week.

There is public comment at the beginning of the meeting, with the actual discussion happening at the end. You can watch live from home on the city's YouTube as well.
